"Blackened Toast"

Dan Tyack is the pedal steel guitarist from the popular Seattle blues/rock band, Toast. This is not your typical steel guitar album - there are no country instrumentals or even country licks! Dan shares the spotlight with blues vocalist Randy Handley on most of the songs. Monster steel guitarist Paul Franklin contributed two great pedal steel solos, and the legendary Bill Frisell added his dreamy composition "Can't You See?".

"Unsanctified Gospel Revival"

Dan's Seattle-based group gets funky with the Holy Spirit. This isn't really an instrumental album - 7 of the 10 tracks have vocals - but there's still lots of lap and pedal steel solos, including a guest appearance by Sacred Steeler Darrick Campbell.
