"Hawaiian Touch"
with George Kuo

Strange as it seems, this 1995 release is the first album of acoustic steel and slack key guitar duets ever recorded. Produced by George Winston, the CD includes detailed liner notes documenting the songs and the slack key tunings used. Barney Isaacs, Jr. plays beautifully on a six string resonator guitar tuned to C6th, blending perfectly with George Kuo's virtuoso slack key artistry.

This was the final chapter of Barney Isaacs' rich recording legacy and, oddly enough, the only known recording of him on an acoustic steel guitar. I have never heard anyone play the instrument better. Thank you, Mr. Isaacs, for the inspiration.
